This week's work

This is the start of the new piece of Matthew

This week I managed to work further on the figurative piece, titled Damascus Road. Also did some life drawing, and began a new piece ( 30" x 40") of Matthew crouching.

The background is now brighter, and I am working on developing the tones in the flesh more.

Back at work

I've been away in Spain for a few weeks, but am settling back into my ongoing series on difficult journeys. This piece is about blindness - my mom went blind a number of years ago. It is still very much in progress.

Small profile study finished

Got the small study of Cammy done today, despite being sick. Thankfully it went easily.

Current work

This is a commission piece of two sisters that I'm currently working on

This image needs a little while to dry, and my thought is to put a very pale payne's grey glaze over all of it later, wiping off to allow come clean whites to show through.

This 6"x6" is the smallest portrait I've ever done. I think it's finished, but will wait a few days and then decide for sure.

This piece still needs quite a lot of work
